A new filing system was put into use at 9 a.m. yesterday to facilitate business travel to Hong Kong and Macao, according to the Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau.
Users can click “legal entity service” (法人服务) under the administrative service section on the website — http://ga.sz.gov.cn — to enter the new system. An account has to be registered before entry.
Applications for business travel permits for employees from qualified companies that have filed the required documents to visit Hong Kong and Macao can be processed at any entry and exit office of the public security bureau across the city.
The qualified enterprises include key and high-tech firms recognized by the municipal government, financial institutions and headquarter companies registered and recognized by related departments in the Qianhai & Shekou Free Trade Area.
High-level talented workers and those with Ph.D. degrees of prominent universities in the world working in the Qianhai & Shekou Free Trade Area are also eligible to apply for the service at any local immigration office.
Application materials for the service are simplified. For example, recognized key and high-tech companies and law firms no longer need to submit qualification materials.
The new system is also easier to operate. Users with real-name authorization can log into the system with their WeChat accounts.
Social insurance records are also exempted for applicants who are from key companies recognized by the municipal government, companies established by overseas returnees, branches of companies based in Hong Kong, Macao and foreign countries, and for high-level talented workers and those with Ph.D. degrees of prominent universities in the world working in the Qianhai & Shekou Free Trade Area.
